Denver's Park Hill is a historic neighborhood in Denver and is a perfect setting for an art festival. Home to former Colorado Governor and current Senator John Hickenlooper (he attended one of the shows by the way!), the show is located in the southern part of Park Hill. The show location is less than a mile from Denver's City Park, Denver Zoo, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Brian Billow’s artistic style is described as organic contemporary. He uses acrylic paints, plaster, acid oxidized paints, metal leaf and a molten metals process that he developed to create works that range from landscapes and representational to abstract. The use of acid washed metallic paints creates the timelessness of rust and patina, but used in these designs and in conjunction with the molten metals they reflect the contemporary feel of the modern world. www.bbmsart.com

Oil on linen landscape paintings. Reflecting a nostalgia of place and rendering a feeling of peace while trying not to sacrifice these greater truths for lesser details.
Since moving to Colorado from New York in 2001, Michael has sought to capture the emotions reflected in the western landscape through oil painting.
With an emphasis on the sky, Michael reflects a nostalgia of place and renders a feeling of peace while trying not to sacrifice these greater truths for lesser details.

Julie Leidel is a Roycroft Renaissance Master Artisan inspired by The Arts & Crafts Movement (1880-1920), the Art Nouveau Movement, and the WPA era of the 1930s. Julie's artwork evokes a feeling of yesteryear, and her revivalist approach calls upon the spirit of the Arts &Crafts Movement - at its center was the principle that the head, heart, and hand should ideally work as one.

Paula relies on the innate brilliance and natural elegance of responsibly sourced metals, stones, and gems as the backbones of every handcrafted collection for her modern hand-crafted jewelry designs.
From his solar-powered studio, nestled among tall pines and massive granite formations in a tranquil valley of the Colorado Rockies, artist Lane Dukart draws his inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds him.
Utilizing stoneware clay, each piece is individually cast and hand-carved with original designs, reflecting the environment and culture of the Mountainous Southwest. Lane applies only natural oxides to accentuate the clay’s inherent earthy tones and textures. The durable stoneware clay is then fired to over 2,000 degrees (F), making it impervious to the elements of nature and able to withstand rain, snow and wind.
Each finished composition, signed by the artist, is a one-of-a-kind creation, faithfully reflecting the rustic harmony of the artist’s surroundings.
Stefan uses acrylic and paint on hardboard. The hardboard allows him to achieve desired textures, and the rigidity supports his technique of painting with stiff spackle knives. He also hand crafts each signature frames. www.ArtThatSings.com
The Shape Of Wood uses hyperlocal sourcing from immediate and nearby neighborhoods in central Denver. Using these local wood resources to keep beautiful species out of the chipper and the landfill, woodwork artisan Peter Cozens creates bowls/salad bowl sets, cutting boards, table and home decor, and some commissioned simple furniture. The Shape Of Wood brings a Colorado touch to your table, desk, or personal environments.
By blending two of natures alluring elements, wood and stone, Tina creates functional, culinary accessories. Her Cutting Boards, Gathering Boards, Serving Platters and Dipping Trays will elevate your daily or special occasions.
Tina meticulously searches through arborists’ wood lots looking for the perfectly flawed, cracked and knot filled hardwoods that other woodworkers pass by because of these deficits. She chooses smaller pieces of wood that will be enhanced with Stone like turquoise, lapis, malachite or chrysocolla, and inlays these into these cracks and voids. Following a similar method to the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken and fractured pottery is mended with gold or silver dust, thereby restoring the fragments to a functional and more beautiful piece. http://knot-wong.squarespace.com/
Marilyn's art is reverse painting on acrylics. Yep, she paints in reverse from the most forward elements of the piece to the furthest back. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate its magic. Her work is inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds her home at the base of the Mt. Evans wilderness area in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Painting in a modern impressionist style, Marilyn's art is infused with brilliant light and color. Her use of textured, bold brush strokes magnifies the vivid impressionist style.
Ashley Ball is the one woman show behind Bowled Over Ceramics. Everything is handmade by her start to finish, from a lump of clay to the final fired piece. She focuses on functional artwork, as a way to bring beauty to the seemingly mundane. You can find her work at bowledoverceramicsab.Etsy.com.
